Y'all... I have spent nearly the entire weekend in my bed. I am nauseated beyond my wildest dreams. Baby Number 2 is already giving me a run for my money... my mom told me it was # 3 that turned your world upside down.
I was no where NEAR nauseous like this with Carson. In fact, I tell people all the time how great I felt during my pregnancy. Sure, I had my moments... I worked full time, would come home at the end of the day exhausted, hungry, and crawl right into bed... but this has hit me like a ton of bricks. I feel sick when I wake up, I feel sick a few hours later, I feel sick in the evening, I feel sick at night. Nothing but sleeping makes me feel better and I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO?!
I have Preggie Pops, I have Mother-to-Be tea, I have a really sweet husband that has become Mr. Mom all weekend... BUT he's going to leave and go to work, and then I have to take care of our toddler. No more crawling into bed for me.
So help... is there anything out there I don't know about that can help me feel better?

Oh I wish I had some advice for you... I hope you are feeling better soon so you can enjoy this pregnancy as much as your first!
I had the same thing! I felt naseous all day too! I'm so sorry! Mine got better around 12-14 weeks!
Also, unisom worked for me. My Dr. told me about it. It's supposedly one the best things (taken before bed) for morning sickness. You might talk to your Dr. about it. I wouldn't take any medicine with Morgan (I was super anal) but I couldn't function witout unisom, it made my naseau go away, and Kennedy was perfectly healthy!
My life-saver with nausea were Sea Bands. You can get them at Walgreens, they are what you wear on your wrists for sea sickness...I wore them my entire first trimester, I can pretty much guarantee they will work! Also try peppermints, ginger (ginger snaps, pills, tea, really any form), and vitamin B6 works too!
I have done this a few times and with my girls, was REALLY sick, so I have quite a few tricks up my sleeve...DEFINITELY get the Sea Bands though!
Sorry you are feeling sick...I bet it is a girl!
I totally know the feeling! Mine got better around 13-15 weeks and the only thing that relieved my headaches was a coke and doritos or one big burrito from Taco bell! Which is so strange because number 1...SICK and number 2...I don't eat stuff like that. But hey, it helped. I think you are having a girl...just a hunch! Everybody I know who had an "oops" had a girl :) Feel better love. xoxo
Ginger for sure...everyone mom I know swears by it, and it's all natural :)
i was sick until about 2pm everyday, and if woken up in the middle of the night for any reason, the morning sickness would start then, so i would have to get up and get sick to feel better. i remember!!! i would ask the doctor for some meds for that if it was me. he can give you a little bitty pill you take 1-3 times a day and you can function just like normal!! :)
well if you remember from all of my whining on my blog, i have been uber uber sick too!
here are my homeopathic super safe for preggers suggestions:
1.papaya extract chewable tablets- {you can get from sprouts or any all natural store} great for heart burn
2.peppermint tea- great for nausea
3.sea bands {as jo mentioned}- great for motion sickness/ nausea
4.pure Ginger in capsule form- GREAT for nausea {take right after you eat each time!
5.a great prenatal vitamin
6.calms forte'- {you can get at the all natural store} great for pregnancy insomnia
all of that is homeopathic and super safe for pregnancy! hope that helps!!
im sorry!!!!.... maybe this means baby #2 is a girl!!! hope you feel better asap!
I was so sick with Liam I was making trips to the bathroom between 2 and 4 times a day, only eating 1 meal because it's all I could keep down. My doctor gave me Zofran- or rather- the Target version Ondansetron. She recommended the fast acting- dissolve in the mouth kind and it was a saviour for me.
I tried peppermint, I tried eating before you get out of bed, I tried Preggie-pops... I tried everything. The only thing that worked was the prescription and I'm glad I had it because I never got over morning sickness, I was still using my pills into the 9th month. What do you do?
I have something for Tichenor baby # 2! I was so excited, I had to get baby a present. Now, if you need anything, let me know! I know how much I needed help when I was sick, so you just holler if you need to!
I'm sorry! I wish I had some advice. Hope you feel better soon!
Sorry you're feeling so yucky!!! I agree with Jamie - I've also heard you're sicker with little girls. Hope you get to feeling better soon!
all good suggestions so far. i was sick with clara until 26 WEEKS and ben until 16. although it was much shorter with our boy (you may have a princess on board!), it was worse taking care of a toddler too! i feel ya!
have carson/mommy cuddle time in the mornings in bed. put on a movie if necessary! cut yourself some slack and remember extra movies, more sandwiches and less cooking, and all day jammie days are OK and NECESSARY until you get feeling better. it doesn't make you a slacker mom!
also, i don't know if its a girl thing, but clara loves to play "doctor" and have me lay down and check my arms, legs, tummy, back, pat my head, etc. see if carson wants to play and momma wants to relax on the couch for a few!
thinking of you!
Oh, Mer, believe me, I do know how horrid it is to suffer from "all day sickness." Heck, I was even sick in my sleep and dreaded having to get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. And having an active child running around certainly doesn't make things easier. And like you, with my first, I felt great, so it really knocked me for a loop when all of a sudden, I was sick for my 2nd & 3rd babies. Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for something that will take it away (never found anything to work), but I *did* read this book cover to cover regularly when I was sick both with Logan and with Amry: http://www.amazon.com/Morning-Sickness-Companion-Elizabeth-Kaledin/dp/0312284896. Just comforting to commiserate with other women.
